It is my great pleasure to endorse Ashley Craven for the Oak Ridge Board of Education.
I have known Ashley for years as her pastor and friend. During that time, I have been so impressed with her love for the Oak Ridge community, her commitment to improving the lives of children and youth, and her support for public education. I was so excited to learn Ashley decided to run for public office because she is a person of integrity, intelligence, and energy. When we served on church committees together, she was not a person who simply warmed a seat. She worked hard then, and I believe she will bring that same drive to the board of education. I endorse Ashely with no reservations.
Ashley Craven is a strong voice for children who need one—she understands that we have children in our community facing what often seems to be insurmountable challenges and is ready to fight for creative and equitable solutions.
Ashley recognizes the importance of tradition and building upon a strong foundation while looking at innovative and new ways to address the needs our children face. I wholeheartedly endorse Ashley Craven for school board and sincerely hope everyone has an opportunity to get to know her and her heart for this community.
